CAM TORRE VARSITY HEAD COACH

Cam Torre is a graduate of Michigan State University; he is also an alumnus of Portage Central
High School. Cam was one of the original team members of the Portage Central Men’s Lacrosse
team. He was a leading scorer and team captain for both of the years he played at PC. Cam
also played high school hockey and was a member of the MSU Ski Team. Cam helped start the
Portage Girl's Middle School Lacrosse program in 2005 along with his parents Jeanne and Norm
Torre and their friend Jennie McPherson. He was assistant coach for the team from 2005 - 2007.
Lauren McLaughlin is a graduate of Taylor University working as an administrative assistant at
Everest Institute in Kalamazoo. Lauren played varsity soccer and basketball while at Kalamazoo
Christian High School, but switched to playing lacrosse in college. She was an original team
member of the Taylor University Lacrosse Club in 2000. She was Vice President/Player/Coach
for the club from 2001 to 2003. In the 2003 season she was ranked 11th in the nation for number
of goals scored in the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse League.

ASHLEY STEFFEY ASSISTANT COACH

Ashley Steffey is a student at Western Michigan University, majoring in Sports Medicine. She is a
graduate of Portage Central High School, and was one of the original members of the Portage
Women’s Lacrosse team back in 2006. “Steffey” currently plays Attack Wing/Defensive Wing for
the WMU Bronco Women’s Lacrosse Club team. We are happy and proud to have her back in
our organization.
